Journey to the

Non-Place

Sarah Sharma’s article, ‘BARING LIFE AND LIFESTYLE IN THE NON-PLACE’ re-evaluates past analyses, which have attempted to define the ‘non-place.’ This project required the development of a 47 page publication and the use of only two colours.

The publication uses a contemporary and brutalist approach to reflect the text’s question of whether non-places are truly artificial and soulless. Images and typography were treated to reflect the idea of passport stamps and personal information inked into personal identification documents often seen in non-places.
